ULPOTHA YOGA & AYRVEDA RETRET CENTRE

Ulpotha uses age-old and bio-dynamic farming methods to protect its flora and fauna and its spring-fed wells. There is no electricity and all food is freshly picked, un-refrigerated and cooked in terracotta pots on open fires. The retreat centre is only open part of the year to protect its natural environment from excessive strain. For the same reason guests numbers are also restricted to 20. Early bird price until April 1st!!

YOGA CLASSES

At Ulpotha I will be teaching together with Michael -most of you might know him from before, as he is one of the most sought after yoga teachers in Oslo. With a background from martial arts, yoga and movement culture, Michael Larsen is also a certified massage therapist and he shares his arts in fun and informative classes that embody the heart of martial arts, the purification of ashtanga vinyasa and the healing touch of bodywork. He creates safe space for his students to step out of their comfort zones, get some good movement nutrition, therapeutic exercises, deep relaxation, and a really good sit.

Michael and I will alternate individually teaching the morning and the evening classes. In the mornings, we will offer playful and dynamic vinyasa flow based classes focusing on building strength and flexibility, closing with pranayama, kriya and meditation. For the evening sessions, the focus will be on gentle nourishing movements, restorative and guided relaxation.


Throughout these two weeks, you can expect physically demanding, yet accessible-to-all yoga practices that incorporate different drills, exercises, and tasks to explore your movement vocabulary. Leaving you feeling steady, open, and joyfully focused!
